CAPTAIN’S CREW: Our Reason to Relay
We are making a difference by teaming up to participate in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life in memory of our “Captain”, Art Thibodeau.
We will camp out overnight, taking turns walking around the track to raise money and awareness to help the American Cancer Society create a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
Saving lives from cancer starts with one team, one participant, and one dollar at a time. Our team is doing our part to make sure that cancer never steals another year of anyone’s life.
Please join our team or make a donation. The impact we can make together is much greater than what any of us could do alone!

Michelle Layne, our General Manager, Deborah Stone, our Housekeeping Manager, and Toni Sawyer, our Housekeeping Coordinator attended the Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP) Regional Seminar today; held at Captain George’s Restaurant in Kill Devil Hills, NC.
We are very fortunate to have Deborah Stone, Toni Sawyer, and Rico Young, our Housekeeping Technician, working hard to manage the 300+ housekeepers and inspectors that we have on staff to ensure clean and well equipped vacation rental homes.
Michelle and Deborah, are both certified Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professionals (VRHP). VRHP is a professional association of vacation rental companies that strives to increase the quality, service level, and professionalism of housekeeping to both vacation rental homeowners and vacation rental guests. We commend our staff for their exceptional service as they work together to bring the highest level of satisfaction to our guests and homeowners alike.
In appreciation for the management of their vacation rental home, the homeowners of #100 Oasis, a beautiful 8 bedroom Oceanfront home in Kill Devil Hills treated us to lunch from Coastal Provisions Market. On behalf of all of us here at Carolina Designs Realty, we really appreciate the kind praise, wonderful sandwiches and a cake!
“We just stopped by our vacation home for a couple of quick days for the deep spring cleaning and to replace some of the bedding that didn’t look good anymore and we were reminded by the condition of the rental property what a great job your cleaners did again this year. Please pass on to them how grateful we are that they treat our property as if it was their own.

This was our 6th year and 6th house but I think we’ve found a favorite now (if we stop growing) Thanks for all your hard work!… We had another amazing week full of fabulous memories! The snow made for an extra special Christmas!”
The Barton Family
In honor of the spirit of giving, instead of exchanging gifts, we contributed pounds of dog and cat food, as well as leashes, collars, cat litter, blankets and towels for a newly opened Elizabeth City SPCA. The best way to spread holiday cheer was donating to a worthy cause!
