15 plus years renting vacation homes Carolina Designs Realty

September 29th, 2009

“I just wanted to extend our warm thank you for the unexpected kind gesture that was extended to us after our recent stay at #712 Susan’s Summer Home. When arriving back home in PA and after opening our mail, we discovered a check in the amount of $100.00. This was apparently authorized by the owner for the inconvenience of not being able to use the Theatre room during our stay due to the projection lamp needing to be replaced.

We were so impressed with how the situation was handled from the very beginning by Carolina Designs Realty and then this! The excellent level of customer service we have received the past 15 plus years renting vacation homes through your company is why we have remained loyal customers.

Please extend our sincere thank you to the owner for his/her generosity in the handling of this situation. Also let them know how much we enjoyed our stay in their home.  It was absolutely beautiful!

Our sincere thanks and we hope to see you all next year.”

Fall Sunsets on the Outer Banks

September 18th, 2009

Turn down Sound side Road in Nags Head just south of the Jockey’s Ridge State Park, it runs over to the sound and there is a rear entrance to Jockey’s Ridge with a parking lot and sound access. It closes around sunset so be careful and read the sign.

There is sound side gazebo at Windgrass with great sunset views. It is at the end of Tateway Street

in Kitty Hawk. Turn west on Tateway at Gateway Bank and turn right on Windgrass. The water is very shallow to wade or play in and there is a great walking path there too.

There is also a public gazebo just north of Millers Sound side restaurant that you can go to in Nags Head. It is south of old Windmill Point and north of Millers with its own parking lot. Good place to launch a kayak too.

THANK YOU CAROLINA DESIGNS!

September 16th, 2009

“Just wanted to say again, THANK YOU CAROLINA DESIGNS! We just returned from our 6th stay at #536 Ocean Pocean in Nags Head. We left several items in the elevator upon leaving, we contacted your office and they were able to return them to us. We have rented from several other companies in the past, in several states, NO ONE has been as professional, friendly or provided such excellent service as Carolina Designs. From beginning to end, everyone we had contact with (office personnel, pool, maintenance, linen and housekeeping) was very helpful and provided exceptional and friendly service. Needless to say we will book with Carolina Designs again and again, and we tell all our friends that there is no other company in the Outer Banks to rent from but Carolina Designs!”
Thank you,
Danny

Massive Wind Turbine Project off the Outer Banks Coast

September 7th, 2009

In an article published yesterday by John Murawski for The News & Observer, Outer Banks Ocean Energy Corp. will put their plan into action for 150 wind turbines placed 25 miles off our coastline.  These turbines stand 465 feet and will span across 54 square miles of ocean.  The $900 million project is estimated to generate power for more than 40,000 homes.

The planned Cape Lookout Energy Project could take seven years to build and would have to secure hurricane-resistant towers to the ocean floor.  In the future, plans call for increasing the size of the wind turbines to 150 towers over 54 square miles if the demand increases.
