Outer Banks Pirate Adventure

July 31st, 2009

A co-worker’s family experienced the Pirate Adventures of the Outer Banks in Manteo yesterday.  He said it was wonderful and well worth the money.  The kids get to dress up, shoot water cannons at other ships/pirates, find a treasure map which lead them to a treasure in the water.  They bring the treasure up and the kids get to pick something out of the treasure box.  The experience was close to something you would do at Disney World.

The web site is www.piratesobx.com if you want to check it out.

9. Outer Banks, North Carolina
”Lining the North Carolina coast, the Outer Banks consists of barriers of sand 150 miles long and never more than a few miles wide. These islands serve as welcome mats to the Atlantic and all her treasures. Forage the sea for a bounty of bluefish, flounder, and drum, or walk the wild dunes, a naturalist’s playground. Close to 400 species of birds, from native Carolina wrens to wintering bald eagles, can be found here, along with otters and sea turtle colonies. Add four lighthouses and you have yourself a seaworthy destination that even a pirate like Blackbeard (a former resident) could call home. Landlubbers will want to visit Kitty Hawk, the site where Orville and Wilbur Wright learned how to fly, and the newly renovated North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island.”

10.               Destin, Florida

“In these tough times, people tend to forget that it is possible to take a beach vacation without spending your life savings,” says Eric Brodnax, general manager of Away.com. “But it’s easy, and it all begins with picking a destination a bit off the beaten path.”

Providing an Excellent Service for our Customers

July 24th, 2009

“I am writing this letter to express my gratitude to the staff of Carolina Designs Realty.  I rented #474 Sweet Isabel during the week of June 28, 2009. All of the staff I dealt with at Carolina Designs Realty were very approachable and truly interested in providing an excellent service to their customers.  Toni in housekeeping and Duane in inspections were both very friendly and helpful.  Most notably, Deborah, the Housekeeping Manager, is an excellent addition to your staff.  She truly went out of her way to ensure my family’s satisfaction.  In fact, she is the reason why I hope to use Carolina Designs Realty in 2010!”

Great Memories and a Tan ~ Remnants of a Great Outer Banks Vacation

July 22nd, 2009

“The week of June 13, 2009, was great.  We stayed in #764 Hammock Hut and would happily rent the same house again and again.  The design of the house, the location, the pool, hot tub and the closeness to the beach was absolutely wonderful!  All in all – Wow!  It was so wonderful to have only two floors and one set of steps!  I also want to thank you for the smiles (they show over the phone!), your kindness and for being a great rental company. Thanks for a great week.  My family came away with great memories and a tan!”

Picture that Shows the Heart of Many

July 20th, 2009

A request was made by one of our past guests that stayed in #699 Sunrise during the week of June 20th.

“My family and I recently stayed in Sunrise #699. The location and house were amazing; we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay or a better time.  In one bedroom on the second floor with the view of the ocean, the bathroom has a picture of dogs sitting on a balcony looking at the ocean.  I am trying to find that picture online.  Are you able to assist me in finding out where to purchase this picture?  The reason I ask and know it is a strange request but my grandmother paid for our entire family to stay at this house including plane flights, gas money, food, and everything else we needed to make this trip as wonderful as possible.  Just about everyday, she would comment on how she loved the picture in her bathroom. She is a huge dog lover and just fell in love with the picture.  This trip was the first she has ever made it to the ocean/beach and quite possibly could be her last, not that she is ill or anything but you just never know.  I understand that your staff is extremely busy but any assistance with helping me find this for her would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you so much in advance for your help.”

Within a weeks’ time, our staff had contacted the homeowner with this request and the homeowner mailed the picture to the guest.

“Today I received the picture in the mail and it is perfect!!  Her birthday is next Friday so I am sure I will be giving her the best gift at the party.  You have no idea how much this means to me or will mean to her once she opens it.  I will be sure to send a note of thanks to the owners also, but wanted to thank you first because of all your help.  I work for a company that strives for perfect customer service and many times I have done things for customers that had nothing to do with their transaction.  I truly don’t see it in return very often, but you have gone above and beyond for me in this instance.  Thank you once again for all your help!!!”
