8th Annual Kitty Hawk Heritage Day Festival

The 8th Annual Kitty Hawk Heritage Day Festival will be on September 27, 2008 at The Promenade in Kitty Hawk.  The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Come out and be part of this wonderful community event.  You may conveniently park your vehicle at Wal-Mart in Kitty Hawk and take the bus over, which has scheduled pick up times every 15 minutes all day long for this special event.  There are tons of craft booths set up by various merchants that offer activities for the children.  There are art, food and craft vendors throughout the park all day.  The rock climbing wall from Kitty Hawk Kites and balloon style rides are always a favorite way for the kids to exert some energy.  DJ Steve the Dream is so entertaining and teaches everyone the chicken dance.  Other characters seem to be around every corner.  The weather has typically been great, a little cooler by late September.
